Dear ninjas,
EXCITING NEWS!! AN UPGRADED NATIONALS WILL BE HELD AT SA BASECAMP IN NOVEMBER! Read on for all the details.
As individual world qualifying events were introduced in three states last year, we made the difficult decision to stop holding our qualifying series to ensure fairness for athletes across all states. This means each state will hold world qualifying events directly through UNAA (USA) this season and we will not hold our local and area qualifiers.
We are very excited to announce not only will there still be a championship for our Aussie athletes, but it will be bigger and better than ever! From this year on, we are also including athletes from the rest of the Asia Pacific region! We will be holding the UNAA Comps Australia Asia Pacific Championships on 7-9 November 2025 at SA Basecamp!
Australian athletes will have to qualify for the UNAA CA Asia Pacific Championship as follows:
WNAG - The top 3 athletes in each division at each WNAG will qualify for the UNAA CA Asia Pacific Championship (this year the top 5 in each division from WNAG also qualify to the UNAA World Series Finals 2025, but next year it will only be top 1 in each division).
State UNAA World qualifier events - The top 5 athletes in each division at each world qualifier will qualify to the UNAA CA Asia Pacific Championships (the top 3 in each division also qualify to the UNAA World Series Finals 2026). As WA's event is in December, we will invite the top 5 from their December 2024 world qualifier to the 2025 UNAA CA Asia Pacific Championship.
Athletes from the rest of the Asia Pacific region can register to the UNAA CA Asia Pacific Championships with no pre-qualifications as there are not many UNAA events throughout the region.
The top 3 from each division at the UNAA CA Asia Pacific Championships will qualify to the UNAA World Series Finals in 2026.
